Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Modopodo is a personal note-taking app ("second brain"). Your notes are private. This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and your choices. Modopodo is operated by Christoph Sacher, Vienna, Austria ("we").

What we collect

We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics SDKs, and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.

How your data is used

Only to provide the app's features: storing and syncing your notes across your devices, organizing them, answering your questions about them, generating reflections, and transcribing voice notes.

Service providers

These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service. Under their API terms, data sent through their APIs is not used to train their models.

Security and access

Data is encrypted in transit. Each account can only access its own data; this is enforced in the database itself. We do not read your notes, except where required to investigate a problem you report to us or where required by law.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete individual notes at any time, and delete your entire account in Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers. You can export all notes in Settings → Export all notes.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Austria: Datenschutzbehörde).

Children

Modopodo is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
